Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the first time in the regular season, the K-Wings will battle the defending Colonial Cup Champions, the Muskegon Fury. Kalamazoo comes into the game in second place in the Central Division, three points behind the first place Fury.
With tonight's game the K-Wings will start a four game home stand that will conclude on November 10th, also against the Muskegon Fury. Kalamazoo enters the game on a season high two-game winning streak. The K-Wings are led by Tim Turner and Chad Alban. Turner leads the K-Wings in scoring with 6 points and is coming fresh off a hat trick performance against Port Huron last night. Alban leads all UHL netminders in goals against average with a GAA of 1.76.
The Muskegon Fury are the only team in the UHL that hasn't loss in regulation. The Fury's only blemish came in the form of a shootout loss last night to the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight's game is only the second time this year that the Fury have played away from home. Muskegon's lone road game was back on October 15th at Flint, a game they won by the final of 6-2. The Fury's explosive offense is lead by Rusty Dolyny, Todd Robinson, Robin Bouchard, and Brant Blackned, who all have nine points on the year.
