Countdown to Face-Off
Published on March 24, 2004 under International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Something will have to give tonight when the K-Wings host the Missouri River Otters at Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo enters the game on a franchise record eight game-winning streak, which includes six straight victories at home. The eight winning streak by Kalamazoo also ties them for the UHL high this season for consecutive games with a victory. For Missouri, they will be looking to extend their two game winning streak. The two game streak matches the longest this season for the River Otters.
Kalamazoo will be debuting two new faces in the lineup tonight. Earlier this week, the K-Wings inked forward Mark Major and defenseman Mike Jarmuth. Major is a veteran left winger that has played in the AHL, IHL, and NHL. Jarmuth joins the K-Wings after finishing a stellar career at Western Michigan University.
Missouri will also have a new face in the lineup, as Ryan Rome will make his Otter debut. Rome started the season in Flint with the Generals. Rome joins a red hot Missouri team led by Jeff Petruic, who leads the River Otters in scoring with 59 points. Petruic is coming off a huge game against Rockford, where he scored both regulation goals for the River Otters. His two goal efforts gives him 38 for the year, which establishes a new franchise record for Missouri.

Both will be making their K-Wings debut tonight.
