Prince George Cougars News Release
Prince George, B.C. -- The Western Hockey League's Cougars and Lethbridge Hurricanes have hooked up on a four player trade.
The Cougars landed 18-year old defenceman Kalvin Sagert and 17-year old defenceman Jesse Dudas from Lethbridge in exchange for defenceman Randy King and Ryan Kerr.
Dudas, a 6'1" 214 lb St. Albert product has seven assists in 18 games this season. An Abbotsford, B.C. native, Sagert played in 71 games with Kamloops last season, registering five goals and 15 points. In 26 games this year, he has four points and 23 penalty minutes.
"It is very difficult to move Ryan and Randy but we felt we needed to make an improvement to our defence and their ability to move the puck on the powerplay," said Cougars' GM Dallas Thompson.
