FOR THE WEEK OF Feb. 20 - Feb. 26th

KINGS LOOK TO REBOUND AFTER TOUGH WEEK WITH NORTH DIVISION LEADERS

The Lubbock Cotton Kings had a tough week of play last week, dropping all three of their contests and now look to end a three-game winless streak this week and get back into the playoff picture. The Kings started out the week last week with a 5-3 loss to the Northeast Division leading Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on Thursday and then followed that contest with a 4-2 loss to the Northwest Division leading Colorado Eagles. Lubbock closed the week Sunday in Bossier-Shreveport with a 6-2 loss to the Mudbugs. They will look to rebound this week during a busy schedule that has the Kings in Memphis on Tuesday, at home Thursday hosting Tulsa and then wrapping up the week with a two-game home series hosting Amarillo on Saturday and Sunday. With two of the four games this week against division foes, Lubbock will be forced to obtain some victories to get back in the playoff race. The Kings enter the week ten standing-points behind Amarillo and Austin for the last playoff spot in the Southern Conference.
