February 17, 2003 - SPHL (SPHL)
Florida Seals News Release

ORLANDO - The Atlantic Coast Hockey League named Orlando Seals goaltender Mike Correia (10-1) Goaltender of the Week for his back-to-back victories over the weekend. It is the first time Correia has won the award outright, having previously shared it with teammate David Goverde for posting consecutive shutouts the last week of January.

The former Boston College netminder recorded his 10th win between the pipes for the Seals when he frustrated the Knoxville Ice Bears on their home ice Saturday, stopping 32 shots to lift Orlando to a 3-2 victory in front of a packed house at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Correia, who was in net for Orlando's 5-3 win over Jacksonville the previous night, now has a 2.59 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.

Federenko Earns Captain's 'C'

The Seals awarded F Brad Federenko with the captain's 'C' on Friday for his outstanding play and leadership on and off the ice. Federenko is no stranger to the role of captain: he spent time as team captain for the Jacksonville Lizard Kings of the East Coast Hockey League. Original Seals captain Zac Boyer, who sustained a season-ending concussion in early January, endorsed Federenko for captain.

Seals Promote Fellini to Assistant GM

Game operations manager and account executive Joe Fellini was promoted to assistant general manager for the Seals on Friday. The former Orlando Solar Bears account executive will oversee the Seals sales staff and the office's day-to-day operations.

Fellini was the director of ticket sales for the America West Hockey League's (AWHL) Tupelo T-Rex and National Indoor Football League's (NIFL) Tupelo FireAnts during the 2001-02.

Prior to joining the Turner Cup Champion Solar Bears in August 2000, Fellini spent two seasons as director of operations/promotions for the Central Hockey League's (CeHL) Memphis RiverKings. Fellini was general manager of Major League Roller Hockey's (MLRH) South Carolina Fire Ants in 1998, a team that included several future ACHL players.
