CornBelters Add Utility Player Sam Judah

Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, have signedutility player Sam Judah.The CornBelters will play their first game of the 2012 season at the Corn Crib on Friday, May 18 at 6:30pm (CEFCU Opening Night).

In 2011, Judah concluded his collegiate career at Auburn University of Montgomery with a .335 batting average, 11 doubles, four home runs, and 37 RBI. He then signed with the Lake County Fielders of the independent North American League. In 19 games with the Fielders, hehit .255 with13 hits, six RBI and three doubles.

"Sam is another super-utility rookie that can play absolutely anywhere on the field," said CornBelters Field Manager Chad Parker. "He was a great hitter in college, and he has great potential to hit as a professional."
