Omaha Lancers News Release
The Omaha Lancers have announced that defenseman Corey Toy has committed to the Ohio State University for the 2007-2008 season.
The native of Round Hill, Virginia is a third-year veteran for the Lancers. He will be looked to once again this year to provide leadership and experience on the blue line for the Lancers. Toy will join Lancer teammate Patrick Schafer as a member of the Buckeyes next season.
"Corey has worked very hard to get the opportunity to play at the next level," said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Hastings. "He's developed as a player and as an individual each and every year that he's been in Omaha. I'm happy for Corey and his family and I'm excited that he'll be playing his college hockey at a reputable program in the Ohio State University."
Toy's commitment brings the Lancers scholarship total up to 14.
