
Corea, Roberts Nominated for NASL Young Player of the Year Award

EDMONTON, AB - FC Edmonton's young talent is front and centre in this year's North American Soccer League (NASL) Young Player of the Year Award nominations. Midseason signing and El Salvador international midfielder Dustin Corea as well as teammate and Canadian defender Mallan Roberts up for the award.
Corea has been a regular starter since his arrival with the Eddies just after kick-off of the NASL Fall Season. The Salvadorian has posted a goal and three assists with his new team and has been named to the league's Team of the Week on two occasions. You can vote for Corea HERE.
FC Edmonton Academy graduate Mallan Roberts has become a mainstay on the Eddies back line that has turned things around significantly in the Fall Season. The 23-year-old boasts 19 starts in 2015 and has been named to Team of the Week on one occasion. Overall, Edmonton has posted the second-best Goals Against record in the Fall. The NASL Young Player of the Year award is given to the top player aged 23 years and under for his play over the course of the Spring and Fall Seasons. Last year, Minnesota United forward Christian Ramirez won the award.
