Vermont Frost Heaves News Release

South Burlington, Vt.-Sen. George Coppenrath (R-Caledonia) will serve as the Northfield Saving Bank 110% Community All-Star on Thursday night as the Vermont Frost Heaves take on the Bellingham (Wash.) Slam at the Barre Municipal Auditorium.

Coppenrath, father of all-time University of Vermont great Taylor Coppenrath, has been conscripted by his colleague, Sen. William Doyle (R-Washington), who had been announced as the NSB 110%-er for February 8, Legislator's Night.

Doyle is suffering from back trouble-"The result of too many people, uh, leaning on me," he explained with a smile-and while he'll join Coppenrath on the Frost Heaves' bench, the junior senator from West Barnet will take Doyle's shots for charity at halftime and be ready for action if needed.

The Frost Heaves, 21-4 and currently No. 2 in the American Basketball Association's power rankings, play Bellingham again on Saturday at 4:05.

Advance tickets for all Frost Heaves games are available through the Flynn Regional Box Office, 153 Main Street in Burlington and 159 Pearl Street in Essex; by calling 802-86-FLYNN; and through flynntix.org. General admission tickets for games in Barre may be purchased at First in Fitness in Montpelier, or the Barre Opera House during regular hours.
