
Copley Recalled to NHL

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Friday that goaltender Pheonix Copley has been recalled from loan by the St. Louis Blues (NHL).
This season with the Wolves, Copley has appeared in 18 contests and compiled an 11-4-2 record. He is also among the American Hockey League's top 10 goaltenders with a 2.32 goals-against average (8th) and a .920 save percentage (T-9th).
The 25-year-old goalkeeper is currently riding a six-game winning streak, during which time he has collected a 2.30 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage. He also backstopped the Wolves for their lone shutout of the season, a 5-0 victory over the Iowa Wild on Nov. 19.
The former Michigan Tech University standout made his NHL debut during the 2015-16 season on Feb. 27 against the Nashville Predators. He was in net for 24:26 and allowed a goal on six shots.
The goaltending tandem of Jordan Binnington and rookie Ville Husso will backstop the Wolves tonight as they face the Central Division-leading Grand Rapids Griffins at Van Andel Arena. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on The U Too in the Chicago area.
Chicago returns to Allstate Arena for a pair of Amtrak Rivalry games on Saturday (Jan. 21) and Sunday (Jan. 22) against the Milwaukee Admirals. Saturday's puck drop is set for 7 p.m., and the contest will air live on CW50. Sunday's tilt begins at 3 p.m. and broadcast on The U Too.
