
Cooper on IL, Murphy Promoted to Dragons

Dayton Dragons News Release
The Dayton Dragons, in conjunction with the Cincinnati Reds, announced the following roster changes today:
Right-handed pitcher Tanner Cooper has been placed on the 7-day injured list (right flexor mass strain)
Right-handed pitcher John Murphy has been promoted to Dayton from the ACL Reds.
A new roster is attached.
Murphy pitched in 26 games for the Dragons in 2023 as a reliever, going 4-3 with a 4.89 ERA and four saves. He is a product of the University of Maryland who was signed by the Reds after playing independent professional baseball for four years.
The Dragons host the Fort Wayne TinCaps tonight at 7:05 pm at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. The series continues through Sunday. For tickets, go to daytondragons.com/tickets or call (937) 228-2287.
