DALLAS, TEXAS - The North American Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 9, 2020. The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2019-20 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.
Central Division Star of the Week: Cooper Haar, Forward, Aberdeen Wings
Aberdeen Wings forward Cooper Haar, 20, helped his team widen their lead atop the Central Division with a weekend home sweep of the Minot Minotauros. The 6'2/209 lbs. native of Huntington Beach, California, had four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in the two wins. That included two goals and an assist in Friday's 4-3 win and another goal in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win. For the season, Haar, who will be on Team Central at the 2020 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, is 2nd in team scoring with 39 points in 42 games played so far this season. "Cooper has been an added difference maker both on the ice and in the dressing room. He is a mature player that has a desire to win every night, and that desire is contagious. Cooper's weekend was a big boost to get us heading in the right direction," said Wings head coach Scott Langer.
