
Cookies with Claus Event Set for December 3

Delmarva Shorebirds News Release
Salisbury, Md. - The Delmarva Shorebirds are hosting Cookies with Claus presented by Q105 in the Executive Club of Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on December 3 from 10am-12pm. The event is free and open to the public. The Shorebirds are asking all attendees to bring a new and unwrapped toy, which will be donated to Toys for Tots.
Santa Claus will be in attendance for the event. Every family will get the opportunity to take a picture with Santa. Sherman the Shorebird will also be in attendance, dressed for the holidays, and available for photos. The Shorebirds will be severing hot chocolate, cookies and more.
Additionally, there will be arts and crafts stations set up for children of all ages.
The Shorebirds are asking that each family brings a new and unwrapped toy to Perdue Stadium to be donated to the Toys for Tots campaign. The toys will be distributed to underprivileged children on the Eastern Shore.
"This is a great event to get the Eastern Shore in the holiday spirit," said Shorebirds general manager Chris Bitters. "I hope everyone has a great time at Cookies with Claus and that we're able to make a sizable donation to Toys for Tots!"
Toys for Tots has been ongoing in Wicomico County for 28 years. In 2011, over 11,000 toys were given out to over 5,000 children. For more information about the Toys for Tots program, click here . Last year, the Shorebirds collected nearly 200 toys for the Toys for Tots program.
Arthur W. Perdue Stadium will once again be a drop off location for Toys for Tots. The Shorebirds front office will be open to drop off toys during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm.
