KEARNEY, NE. - Tri-City Storm forward Trevor Connelly has been named the United States Hockey League's (USHL) Forward of the Week for the penultimate week of the 2023-2024 regular season following his performance in the Storm's weekend series against the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Viaero Center last weekend. This is the second weekly award of Connelly's career, and the second for a Storm forward this season. Connelly was also named USHL Forward of the Week on Monday, January 8th, 2024, for Week 15 of the 2023-2024 regular season.

Trevor Connelly, 18, of Tustin, California, scored four goals, and recorded four assists, for eight total points in two games played this weekend for the Storm. He became the tenth player in organizational history to record a thirty-goal season during Saturday night's 6-3 win for Tri-City over Sioux Falls. Connelly passed Alex Hudson (2004-2008) for third-all time in franchise history for career goals (55), and second-all time in career points (125) in this weekend's results. He has scored thirty-one goals, and notched forty-seven assists, for seventy-eight total points in fifty-two games played for the Storm this season. He currently leads Tri-City in Goals (31), Assists (47), Points (78), Points Per Game (1.50), Powerplay Goals (10), and Powerplay Assists (17) with two games remaining in the 2023-2024 regular season. Connelly enters the final weekend of the regular season with the second-most points (78) of any player in the USHL this season. He scored twenty-four goals, and notched twenty-three assists, for forty-seven total points in fifty-seven regular season games played during his debut season for the Storm last year. Connelly previously announced a commitment to play collegiate hockey in the future at Providence College.

"This is a huge honor for me to be named Forward of the Week for the second time this season. My linemates did a great job all weekend, and it led to some solid production. It was huge for Cooper Simpson to have such a big weekend also, and it was great to see him have so much success."- Forward Trevor Connelly

"It is truly an honor when you get to see one of your guys be recognized for their success by our league. Trevor has been outstanding for us all year, and for him to reach thirty goals for the season, while also becoming the second-leading point getter in franchise history, makes this weekly award even more special. I am extremely proud of him, and happy to see him get the recognition he deserves."- Assistant Coach Shawn Sramek
