Connecticut Sun News Release
Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun has signed 6-10 center, Bernadett Határ to a rest of season contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, no details were released.
Határ, a native of Hungary, comes to Connecticut after most recently competing in the 2023 FIBA EuroBasket tournament in June. With the Hungarian National Team, Határ averaged 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds over six contests, while helping the team to a fourth-place finish.
The 6-10 center signed a training camp contract with the Indiana Fever in February 2023, but the team temporarily suspended and eventually waived her in early June due to EuroLeague and EuroBasket commitments. Határ appeared in seven contests for the Fever during the 2021 season, averaging 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game before a season-ending injury.
"We're happy to have Bernadette Határ join our organization," remarked Sun General Manager, Darius Taylor. "She brings much needed size and a unique skill set that we look forward to seeing mesh with our current roster."
The Connecticut Sun are back in action on Sunday, July 30 taking on the Minnesota Lynx at 1:00 PM ET at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Established in 2003, the Connecticut Sun is a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association that takes residence at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. For additional information or to purchase season tickets, visit www.connecticutsun.com.
