This Week In Condorstown:

Tuesday, Nov. 17

C Maxime Macenauer (pictured, right) will be at Colonel Howard Nichols Elementary, located at 3401 Renegade Ave, from 11:15-12:15, eating lunch with the class that raised the most money for their school through a Condors fundraiser.

Wednesday, Nov. 18

The Condors play host to the Ontario Reign for a 10:30 a.m. matinee contest for Field Trip Day/Businessperson Special, sponsored by MY 45, HOT 94.1 & Department of Public Health. Walk-up tickets for all locations are only $10 for this game, so come enjoy lunch in Condorstown.

A Condors player (TBD) will be at The Epilepsy Society of Kern County's Fiesta Night from 6-7 p.m. The event will be held at El Adobe Mexican Restaurant on 2620 Ming Avenue.

Thursday, Nov. 19

The "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl has a double-billing, beginning with an 8 am appearance on KUZZ 107.9. In the afternoon, Bartl will host the Condors Coach's Show, live on ESPN Radio 1230, from Tailgaters, on Truxtun Ave. across from Rabobank Arena, from 5-6 p.m. with Head Coach Marty Raymond and RW Dan Sexton. Fans are welcome to call in with questions by calling 631-1230

Also, Condors players (TBD) will be at the Mercedes-Benz of Bakersfield Cigar Night at 5600 Gasoline Alley Drive from 6-7 p.m. The money raised from the event will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Friday, Nov. 20

The Condors host the Alaska Aces for the first of three games at 7 p.m at Rabobank Arena. The first 3,000 fans will receive Condors Collectors Trading Cards Set 1 of 5 to be given away throughout the season, courtesy of The Bakersfield Californian. This marks the first Condors Classroom Champions Night, brought to you by ABC23, SC Architect and Kern County Firefighters, dedicated to providing complimentary tickets to students who achieve outstanding attendance levels.

Saturday, Nov. 21

The Condors and Aces return to the ice at Rabobank Arena for a 7 p.m. matchup. All fans in attendance receive a Condors Rivalry Poster, presented by Fox Sports Radio 970.

Sunday, Nov. 22

Bakersfield and Alaska suit up for their final game of the weekend at 5 p.m. Nickelodeon's Cosmo & Wanda of the Fairly OddParents will be at the game, sponsored by Bright House Networks, hanging out with fans and posing for pictures at the Condors Photo Booth, Following the game, fans are invited to a free Skate with the Team on the arena ice. Fans may bring their own skates. Limited skate rental is also available for $3.

Countdown to Teddy Bear Toss

One of the biggest events of the season, Teddy Bear Toss, is just 12 days away! On Saturday, Nov. 28, fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to the 7 p.m. game at Rabobank Arena and "let 'em loose" onto the ice following the first Condors goal. Last year, a capacity crowd of 8,929 launched 7,614 bears onto the ice. All teddy bears collected will be donated to the United Way to help the less fortunate in Kern County during the Holiday season.

Prokop Kicks Off Fundraiser

D Patrik Prokop was at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School last Thursday to help start the school's fundraiser with the Condors. Prokop spoke to a group of more than 300 kids, talking about his homeland of the Czech Republic and even telling the kids how to say a few things in Czech, including "pizza," (which is actually pronounced the same way in English and Czech).

Hey kids, you can become a member of the coolest club in town, the Condors Kids Club!
