Florida Everblades News Release
The Florida Everblades completed a sweep of the Toledo Walleye last week in Germain Arena. The Blades posted their first perfect week with a regulation, shootout and overtime win over the Walleye. Wednesday night the Everblades posted a 6-1 victory, while topping the Walleye in a shootout on Friday (4-3) and Saturday posted a 6-5 overtime win.
Florida continues their six-game homestand this week with three games against another North Division foe, Reading. The Blades and Royals will tangle for three games this week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday in Germain Arena. These three games mark the first meetings of the season between these two clubs.
LAST WEEK
Wednesday, November 11 vs Toledo Germain Arena 7:30PM
RECAP: Defenseman Elgin Reid (1g, 3a) led the way for Florida as the Everblades knocked off the Toledo Walleye 6-1 in the first-ever meeting between these two teams in Southwest Florida. Four other Everblades posted multiple-point efforts including; Rob Hennigar (2g), Jacob Micflikier and Ernie Hartlieb (1g, 2a) and Scott Hotham (2a). Mike Morrison posted his fourth victory of the season stopping 22 of 23 shots.
Friday, November 13 vs Toledo Germain Arena 7:30PM
RECAP: Goaltender Barry Brust, in his first appearance with Florida, stopped 34 of 37 shots and four of five shooters in the shootout to lead the Everblades to a 4-3 shootout win. Jacob Micflikier and Ahren Spylo scored in the shootout for Florida. Mickflikier (3a) and Rob Hennigar (1g, 1a) led Florida scorers, while Ryan Lang and AJ Thelen each added tallies for the Blades.
Saturday, November 14 vs Toledo Germain Arena 7:30PM
RECAP: With just 40-seconds remaining Scott Hotham (2g) fired in the game winner. The Everblades converted three of eight chances on the power play, while Toledo scored on two of seven chances. Rob Hennigar led the way for Florida with four assists, while four other Everblades registered multiple-point games. Ahren Spylo (1g, 1a), defenseman Peter Metcalf (2a), Jacob Micflikier (2a), and Scott Hotham (2g) were the multiple scorers.

Wednesday, November 18 vs Reading Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Royals meet for the first time this season in Germain Arena. The two clubs will play three times this week and five times overall this season. Florida will travel to Reading in 2010 for a pair of games on January 10 and 13th.
Friday, November 20 vs Reading Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Reading has won their last two games prior to arriving in Florida. Reading has won back-to-back one-goal games over Trenton. The Royals won 3-2 last Friday in Reading and 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night in Trenton. The Royals have won six of their last eight games.
Saturday, November 21 vs Reading Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The Royals are led by Stefano Giliati who has seven goals and 15 points in 13 starts this season. Defenseman Scott Langdon leads the team with a +6 rating.

Goaltender Mike Morrison posted a perfect week of 2-0-0. Wednesday night Morrison stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Everblades 6-1 win. Saturday night the veteran netminder stopped 32 of 36 shots in regulation and overtime to help the Blades win their third straight game, 5-4.
