Compuware Sports Arena drive-in theater opens May 26

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, MI - The experience was so much fun last year, the Compuware Sports Arena will do it again this season.

The arena will launch the drive-in starting with a Sneak Preview Weekend on Friday, May 26 through Saturday, May 28. The Compuware Sports Arena will start running the drive-in seven days a week beginning June 15 through September 3.

Like last season, the drive-in will feature three screens showing first-run family-oriented films. The gates will open at 7:30 pm, with the movies starting at dusk.

The Compuware Sports Arena Drive-In Theaters will open May 26 with five films currently rated in the Top 10 in United States Box Office Sales. The films are tentatively schedule to air on the following screens, but may change.

SCREEN 1 - Mission: Impossible III (2006) - ranked first overall.

R.V. (2006) - ranked third overall.

SCREEN 2 - Over the Hedge (2006)

Hoot (2006) - ranked tenth overall.

SCREEN 3 - Akeelah and the Bee (2006) - ranked ninth overall.

Stick It (2006) - ranked seventh overall.

Prices will be the same as last season - $8 for adults, $6 for children 7-12 and $2 for children under 6. Group discounts are available and the drive-in will be available for Corporate Events and School and Club outings.

School, churches and groups can utilize the drive-in for fundraising opportunities. Corporate Packages are available as well.

The drive-in will also offer Theme Nights. Concessions will be available through Ginopolis on the Ice restaurant at the Compuware Sports Arena.
