Comettes Tryouts Announced

The Utica Comets of the American Hockey League are proud to announce the creation of the Hawaiian Holiday Utica Comettes, a high-energy dance team that will entertain fans at games throughout the inaugural season. Tryouts to select members of The Comettes will be held on Sept. 21 at Hotel Utica.

The Comettes will be made up of 10 of the most outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic women that the Mohawk Valley has to offer. The Comettes will also be very active in the community by appearing and performing at events in the Mohawk Valley.

The dance team tryouts will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Hotel Utica from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants need to pre-register via UticaComets.com, by printing out a registration form (link below) and e-mailing the completed form to info@uticacomets.com before Thursday Sept. 19. Participants are asked wear form-fitting, two-piece dance outfits and comfortable shoes as well as to look "gameday ready" to give the judges a better feel for the gameday experience.
