ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Valley Vipers, member of the United Hockey League (UHL), invite fans to join them for a weekend full of exciting promotions, new faces on the ice, and events for the whole family to enjoy!
Saturday night will be Henebry's Diamond Giveaway Night for the first 300 ladies through the doors of the Roanoke Civic Center. Each lady will receive a stone, courtesy of Henebry's, but only one stone will be a real 1/4-carat diamond! The participants in the giveaway will have to visit either the Tanglewood or Valley View Henebry's locations to find out if theirs is the real diamond!
Former NHL right wing Matt Elich will join the Vipers on the ice for the first time on Saturday night as the Vipers host the UHL Eastern Division-leading Danbury Trashers for a 7:35p.m. match. Come out and greet Elich and new Vipers defensemen Joe Koslakiewicz and Kevin McLaughlin as you cheer on your Vipers!
Sunday afternoon the Vipers will take on the Adirondack Frostbite at 5:05p.m., after which fans are invited out onto the ice for a post-game "Skate with the Players"! Fans are encouraged to bring their ice skates with them to the game, but skates are also available for "rental", free of charge, through the Vipers prior to the skate. Bring your Vipers merchandise with you, or purchase some at the Vipers merchandise stand located behind gate nine to get autographs from the new Vipers and all of your old favorites!
