Come On Down! Grizzlies To Host Price Is Right Night On June 2nd

Fresno, CA- Start making your "Pick me Bob" t-shirts, study the prices of the laundry detergent at the supermarket, and get to Chukchansi Park on June 2nd as the Grizzlies celebrate one of the most beloved shows in the history of television, The Price is Right.

With Bob Barker's legendary 35 year run as host of the show coming to an end in mid-June, the Grizzlies will dedicate the Saturday night game to the legacy of "the greatest game show of all time" (TV Guide) and its celebrated host. The Price is Right's rabid following ranges from retirees to college students, and the show's 6,650-plus episodes make it the longest continually running game show in history.

One of the shows biggest fans is Parker, the Grizzlies' mascot, who implored the front office to create his own bobblehead in which he could show his love for Bob Barker. So, the first 2,500 fans on June 2nd will receive "Bob Parker" bobbleheads, which depict the Grizzlies lovable mascot dressed as the television icon- white hair, skinny microphone and all.

On the field, Fresno Grizzlies players will wear The Price is Right themed jerseys, which will be modeled after the show's signature style and symbols, making them the most colorful and distinct themed jerseys the Grizzlies have ever sported. The jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the game.

Fans will also receive name tag stickers, so they can write in their names in hopes of being asked to "Come on down!" All game long, fans will compete in pricing games and showcase showdowns based on the most popular contests from the show. One lucky fan will have a chance to win a seven day cruise, courtesy of Golden Horizon Mortgage.

"When we heard that Bob was retiring, we immediately knew we had to plan something," said Scott Carter, Vice President of Marketing. "Everyone loves this show so much, and we have had a blast planning this night. It will definitely be a highlight of our season."
