It's Mardi Gras time!!! Come catch all the beads you can from the Pelicans float as we will throw more than 10,000 beads in the Pensacola Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, February 5 starting at 2 pm. The Pelicans Fun Bus will be decorated to support the proposed Multi-Use Community Maritime Park on the Pensacola Bay. Scoop will be leading the way shaking hands and posing for pictures. It's sure to be a fun-filled, packed day so make sure you get there early to get the best view of the Pensacola Pelicans!
II. Congratulations to Rachael Stanley
Congratulations to Rachael Stanley of Pensacola, she is the winner of the drawing from the Double Bridge Run on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Pelicans will sponsor her in her next running race. In addition to her entry fee, she will also receive four tickets to a Pelicans game, a Pelicans t-shirt and a water bottle.
III. Call to win Ice Pilots Tickets
The Pensacola Pelicans have four (4) lower level tickets to the Pensacola Ice Pilots game on Friday, February 11 against the Texas Wildcatters starting at 7:05 pm. IV. Gulf Breeze Elementary Off and Reading
Beginning this week, Gulf Breeze Elementary School is one of 19 area schools participating in the Pensacola Pelicans new reading program for 2005.
The program is incentive-based, providing rewards to students for each reading assignment they complete. It is free to schools and students kindergarten through fifth grade are participating for 12 weeks from Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 until Tuesday, April 26, 2005.
In addition to the rewards they earn, students stepping up to the challenge receive a Pelicans bookmark. Those completing all assigned reading earn a ticket voucher good for any 2005 Pelicans regular season game, with the opportunity to earn up to four vouchers each.
At the end of the school year, two classrooms will receive a visit from the Pelicans' mascot, Scoop, and each participating teacher will receive two ticket vouchers.

2005 Pelicans Season Tickets are on sale now. Do not hesitate to reserve your seat as the premium seats are selling fast. Call the Pelicans office today at 934-8444 to order your 2005 Season Tickets.
