
Combo is Rockford's first ever First Team selections

Rockford, Ill.- The United Hockey League handed out their second round of regular season awards Tuesday, when they announced the 2004-05 UHL First and Second Team All-Stars. Rockford IceHogs goaltender Michel Robinson and defenseman Nathan Lutz were named to the First Team. Robinson and Lutz are the first IceHogs skaters ever named First Team All-Stars.
Robinson set IceHogs franchise records for wins (33), shutouts (7), goals against average (2.27), games (66) and minutes (3816:35). Robinson led the UHL in games, minutes and shutouts (tied with Missouri's Jason Tapp) and was second in wins.
The second year-goalie was one of five starters from the IceHogs in the Pepsi All-Star Classic for Team Mountain Dew. Robinson received three call-ups as well this season to the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals. Robinson picked up a win in his only AHL start for Milwaukee.
Lutz was the only returnee from last season's IceHogs club. For the second straight season, Lutz was awarded Rockford's top defenseman. In 75 games with the Hogs this season, Lutz had 14g-25a-46pts and led the club with a plus/minus rating of +30. Lutz's 14 goals were tied for most among UHL defenseman this season.
The fourth year professional also started and represented the IceHogs at the Pepsi All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, New York. Lutz received a pair of call-ups as well to the AHL, to both the Admirals and Chicago Wolves. Despite missing five regular season games, Lutz appeared in 82 total contests this season, due to the AHL promotions.
Other All-Stars include wingers Hugo Belanger (Adirondack Frostbite), Colin Chaulk (Fort Wayne Komets) and Bobby Reynolds (Flint Generals), and defenseman Troy Neumeier (Fort Wayne Komets). The second team consisted of goalie Robert Gherson (Quad City Mallards), forwards David Hymovitz (Richmond River Dogs), Rob Valicevic (Flint Generals) and Robin Bouchard (Muskegon Fury) and defensemen Mat Snesrud (Missouri River Otters) and Scott Drevitch (Adirondack Frostbite).
