Columbus Reassigns McDonell To Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (December 13, 2003) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned right wing Kent McDonell to Syracuse.

McDonell, 24, has appeared in 23 games with Columbus this season, recording one goal, one assist and 34 penalty minutes. In two games with Syracuse this season, McDonell has tallied two goals, two assists and two penalty minutes. McDonell scored his first NHL goal on October 18, 2003 @ Nashville (Vokoun). A native of Williamstown, Ontario, McDonell was acquired by Columbus in an August 16, 2000 trade with Detroit for a sixth round draft choice in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Chicago visits the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, December 13.
