
Columbus Crew SC Acquires Allocation Money in Trade with Orlando City SC

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC today announced that the Club has acquired $175,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) via a trade with Orlando City SC. The reigning MLS Cup champions will receive $150,000 in 2021 GAM and $25,000 in 2022 GAM in exchange for trading an international roster slot for the 2021 Major League Soccer season.
The core of Crew SC's 2020 MLS Cup-winning roster is set to return for the 2021 season. The Crew exercised the contract options on eight players from its 2020 roster. With 18 other players already under contract for the 2021 season, the Club's roster currently features 26 players.
