
Columbus Blue Jackets Recall Goaltender Oscar Dansk, Assign Anton Forsberg to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled goaltender Oscar Dansk from the Springfield Falcons and assigned goaltender Anton Forsberg to the club's AHL affiliate, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Dansk, 20, has posted a 7-5-5 record with a 3.46 goals against average and .833 save percentage in 19 games with Springfield in his first professional campaign. The Stockholm, Sweden native spent the 2013-14 season with the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters, finishing fourth in the league in wins, first in goals against average and tied for first in shutouts with a 29-9-1 record, 2.39 goals against average, .909 save percentage and six shutouts.
Columbus' second pick, 31st overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft, Dansk registered a 40-32-7 record with a 3.25 goals against average and .897 save percentage in 85 career OHL games. He helped Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2014 World Championships, finishing with a 1.79 goals against average and .928 save percentage in five games. He also helped Sweden to a silver medal at the 2013 World Junior Championship and 2012 U-18 World Championships.
Forsberg, 22 has gone 0-4-0 with a 4.49 goals-against average and .866 save percentage in five games with Columbus this season. The Harnosand, Sweden native was selected to participate in the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic after posting an 18-7-1 record with a 2.04 goals-against average, .927 save percentage and two shutouts in 27 games with Springfield. Columbus' sixth pick, 188th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft, Forsberg has posted a 21-7-1 record with a 1.94 goals-against average and .930 save percentage in 31 career AHL games since making his North American professional debut with the Falcons late last season.
