Columbus Announce 2017 Schedule

COLUMBUS, OH - The Back-to-Back-to Back West Division Champion Columbus Clippers are pleased to announce the release of the 2017 schedule, which for the first time since 1997 has 71 home games as the International League has scaled back to a 142 game schedule.

The Clippers open the season on April 6th with a seven-game road trip through Louisville and Indianapolis, before starting the home portion of the schedule on April 13th against the Louisville Bats.

The best promotion in baseball returns with six Sugardale Dime-A-Dog Nights throughout the schedule. The first Dime-A Dog Night is May 15th against Indianapolis. Others include: May 29th vs Norfolk, June 5th vs Louisville, July 17th vs Buffalo, August 28th vs Toledo & Labor Day, September 4th vs Louisville.

The Clippers will also host six Fireworks Spectaculars on Saturday nights this season: May 27th, June 17th, July 8th, June 22nd, August 19th & September 2nd.

Fans can attend several special events at Huntington Park when the Clippers are away in 2017. This year fans can cheer Ohio's finest high school baseball players at the OHSAA State Baseball Championships June 1st, 2nd & 3rd, blast off with Ballpark Boom! on July 3rd & Dance the night away at Dinner on the Diamond on August 12th.

Columbus will play the Louisville Bats a season-most 25 times, 21 of those by June 21st. The Clippers battle the Toledo Mudhens 23 times, none before June 22nd and take on Indianapolis on 22 occasions. The only non- divisional opponent the Clippers visit more than once is the Charlotte Knights.
