Colts Postponed Thursday; Doubleheader Friday

San Angelo, Texas --- For the fourth night in a row, the San Angelo Colts are postponed due to unplayable field conditions.
The Colts and Edinburg Roadrunners were scheduled to play a doubleheader tonight beginning at 6:05 p.m. Instead the two teams will begin their four-game series with a doubleheader Friday night. They will play two seven-inning games.
"The forecast is finally looking like it is going to dry out tomorrow," general manager Dave Kost said. "I never would have dreamt that we (Colts) would get rained out four consecutive days but looks like we will be able to get three out of the four games played Friday and Saturday."
Although it's a Friday game, it will be a $1 Beer Night. Fans 21 and over can enjoy $1 draughts and $2 bottles all night long, courtesy of Miller Lite. There will also be live music immediately following the game. Gates open at 5:05 p.m., and first pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.
Friday is also Koozie Giveaway Night. The first 500 fans through the front gates will receive a free koozie, courtesy of S & S Custom Silk Screening.
The Colts are in the midst of a 12-game home stand. The home stand runs from Tuesday, July 9 through Saturday, July 20, and in that time the Colts face the Fort Worth Cats, Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, and Edinburg Roadrunners. After this home stand, the Colts begin an eight-game road trip against the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings and the Edinburg Roadrunners. The Colts then return home for their last 12-game home stand of the regular season on Tuesday, July 30.
