
Colts Handle Edinburg In Four Straight

San Angelo, Texas---The Colts have now won 14 straight games at Foster Field as they down Edinburg 9-4. San Angelo has now swept three straight series at home. The Colts look to continue their home winning streak as they start a brand new series at home tomorrow night against the McAllen Thunder.
Daryl Jones (20) would start the scoring off early for the Colts, as he sent out his league leading twentieth home run of the year. The shot was a towering two run blast coming in the bottom of the first. The "General", Cory Patton (16) would keep the balls flying out in the bottom of the third with a solo blast of his own. Patton is now five homeruns behind Jones for the league lead with 15. San Angelo would add three more runs in the fifth inning. Ronnie Gaines (13) would also pad his homerun stats, as he sent a two-run rocket of his own out in the sixth.
Alex Casillas (3-0, 5.34) would go his longest outing of the season as he went 6.1 innings allowing three runs off four hits walking six and striking out six. James Giulietti (0-3, 6.30) would receive his third straight loss on the season.
Tomorrow night will be "Sure Win Wednesday" courtesy of Sherwin Williams. If the Colts do not pull off the victory, EVERYONE in attendance will receive a FREE general admission ticket to the next Wednesday night home game. Gates open at 6:00 pm. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05. Make it back for "Thirsty Thursday" as all draft beer is only one dollar.
