San Angelo Colts News Release

San Angelo, Texas--- The San Angelo Colts announced today that Josh Caray will partner with Ira Liebman in the radio booth as the Colts 2010 broadcast team. "Josh brings a wealth of broadcasting experience to San Angelo. To have two broadcasters with Triple-A experience here in San Angelo will make for some great broadcasting this season", Liebman remarked.

Caray joins San Angelo with a wealth of experience. This will be Josh's fourth season in professional baseball. He spent his first three years in the Atlanta Braves organization, first at Class A Rome (2007-08) as the team's radio play-by-play broadcaster and then last year with Triple-A Gwinnett as the team's TV broadcaster. While with Gwinnett, Josh worked alongside former major-leaguer Brian Jordan for 25 TV games, two of which were broadcast nationally on the MLB Network.

Caray comes from a great blood line of broadcasters that is now in its third generation. His Grandfather is former Cubs Hall of Fame Broadcaster Harry Caray, his Dad is Skip Caray who spent over three decades as a Braves broadcaster, and his older brother is Chip Caray who is currently broadcasting for the Braves.

He joins the Colts as the Director of Media Relations/Marketing and Colts Radio Broadcaster, and will be heavily involved in sales. "I really look forward to working the 2010 season in San Angelo. I see this as an opportunity to gain more knowledge of the business side of baseball and to continue to grow as a broadcaster", said Caray.

This past winter, Josh was the Media Relations Director and Broadcaster for the inaugural California Winter League in Palm Springs, CA. In addition, Josh has also broadcast college football and basketball. A native of Atlanta, GA, Caray grew up a huge Braves fan and was a member of his collegiate track team at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, where he graduated in 2004.
