San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas---The Colts have signed two more pitchers to bolster the bullpen. Sean Kramer will double as a player/coach, while Steve MacFarland comes to the Colts after being a high major league draft pick in 2006.
Kramer will be the team's pitching coach, as well as see action on the mound. He served in a similar capacity for the Las Cruces Vaqueros of the Continental League last season. A veteran of nine seasons in professional baseball, the 30-year-old right-hander was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 29th round of the 2002 draft out of Hill College (TX).
As a former ninth round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2006, MacFarland brings three years of experience in affiliated baseball. Last year Steve played for the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League, where he went 3-2 in seven starts. The right-handed MacFarland split his collegiate years playing at Lamar University (TX) and Pace University (NY).
