Colts announce new front office positions

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announced new positions for personnel in the team's front office.

Dan Revell will fulfill the role as the President & Governor of the club after he assumed the position on an interim basis on March 31, 2005. He will oversee all aspects of the club's operations and represent the organization at league board of governor meetings. Revell held the position of Vice-President of the club from July 1997 to June 27, 2000 and Vice-President & Alternate Governor from June 27, 2000 to June 30, 2004.

In addition, Mike McCann has been named the Director of Player Personnel and Gregg Carrigan the Director of Hockey Operations.

McCann will take on a new role as the club's Director of Player Personnel after he served as the General Manager & Head Scout since June 27, 2000. McCann will direct the club in the OHL Priority Selection and CHL Import Draft and will be responsible for negotiating player contracts and monitoring past draft picks and their skill development. McCann first started with the club as an area scout prior to their first OHL Priority Selection in 1995.

Carrigan was hired as the Assistant Coach & Assistant General Manager prior to the 2004-05 season and will also maintain his title as Assistant Coach with the team. As the Director of Hockey Operations, Carrigan will oversee the hockey department and administer club player movement.
