Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts have announced today that they have acquired defenceman Mackenzie Braid from the Niagara IceDogs.
Barrie shipped a conditional 11th round draft pick in 2012 to Niagara in exchange for the former Mississauga Rebel.
The 6'0", 165 pound Mississauga native was originally selected by the IceDogs in the 11th round, 207th overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.
Braid has yet to play a game in the Ontario Hockey League after playing all of last season for the Salisbury School Varsity Crimson Knights in Salisbury, Connecticut.
