
Colorado Rapids Defender Aboubacar Keita Undergoes Successful Surgery on ACL

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - Colorado Rapids defender Aboubacar Keita has undergone successful surgery on his right knee to repair an anterior cruciate ligament tear, the club announced today. Keita will begin his rehabilitation, which is expected to last nine months, in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to Colorado.
Keita joined the Rapids from Columbus Crew ahead of the 2022 MLS season and had yet to make his competitive debut for the club. The 21-year-old center back spent four years with Columbus where he signed as a Homegrown Player and won the 2020 MLS Cup and 2021 Campeones Cup.
