Colorado Ice Sign 5 IFL Veterans

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce the signings of five IFL seasoned players to the 2012 Pre-Season roster. The players are Nate Samas, Phil Goodman, Robert Jackson, Raymond Little and Bernard Payton II.

Samas, a 6'2", 200 lb quarterback/wide receiver from Fort Valley State University, joins the Ice after spending part of the 2011 season with the Bricktown Brawlers. While with Bricktown, Samas played in 9 games, completing 46% of his passes for 854 yards and 16 touchdowns. Samas also had 217 rushing yards, 4 rushing touchdowns, 2 receptions, and 10 yards receiving. In his lone game against the Ice, Samas completed 56% of his passes for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns; while also rushing for 43 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Goodman, a 6'3", 225 lb wide receiver from Temple University, joins the Ice after spending the 2011 season with the Wenatchee Valley Venom. While with Wenatchee, Goodman played in 10 games, accumulating 48 catches for 588 yards and 16 touchdowns; placing him 2nd on his team in catches and yards and 1st in touchdowns.

Jackson, a 6'4", 275 lb defensive end from Fort Valley State University, joins the Ice after spending part of the 2011 season with the Bricktown Brawlers. While with Bricktown, Jackson played in 9 games, recording 26 tackles and 3 sacks. In his lone game against the Ice, Jackson recorded 4 tackles and 1 sack.

Little, a 6'0", 190 lb defensive back from Sacramento City College, joins the Ice after spending the 2011 season with the Wenatchee Valley Venom. While with Wenatchee Little played in 12 games recording 30 tackles, 2 interceptions and 3 pass break-ups. In his lone game against the Ice, Little recorded 2 tackles.

Payton, a 6'0", 210 lb running back from Malone University, joins the Ice after spending part of the 2011 season with the Richmond Revolution. While with Richmond, Payton played in 5 games, recording 81 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, and 6 total touchdowns.
