COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - The College Park Skyhawks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, will begin the first of a six-game home stand on Feb. 28th against the Cleveland Charge.
"This is one of the best times of the year for any basketball fan," said Janice Koon, Vice President of G League and NBA 2K League Operations for the Atlanta Hawks. "We can't wait to see everyone down on the Southside for some fantastic theme nights and to support the Skyhawks in one of the most important stretches of the season."
The contest marks a stretch of six home games in 10 days, hosting opponents such as the Cleveland Charge (10-11) on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1 at 7p.m., the G League Ignite (2-21) on Mar. 3 at 2p.m., the Delaware Blue Coats (15-6) on Mar. 5 at 7 p.m., and a back-to-back with the Osceola Magic (12-7) on Mar. 8 at 7p.m. and Mar. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
The Mar. 1 game kicks off the first of three theme nights, starting with 'VyStar Military Appreciation Night' which will honor all active and former military personnel and their families in attendance.
Mar. 3 against the G League Ignite will feature 'Kid's Day presented by Planet Fitness' and will include themed jerseys and programs such as face painting and gaming stations, and on-court games such as basketball musical chairs between quarters. The broadcast will also include the 'No Dunks Podcast' crew of Trey Kerby, Tas Melas and J.E. Skeets for the second time this season.
The team will also host 'Women's Day presented by Fifth Third Bank' as part of its celebration of "International Women's Day" on Mar. 8 when they face off against the Osceola Magic. The broadcast will feature students from Morehouse and Spelman College in the play-by-play and analyst chairs, as well as on the sideline.
The game on Mar. 9 against the Osceola Magic will also be presented by Goodwill of North Georgia.
College Park (12-10) currently sits at sixth place in the East, while Delaware and Osceola hold the top two spots in the Eastern Conference standings.
