Cole Keith Reaches 50 Caps

On Sunday, March 19th, Cole Keith became the thirty-seventh player in Major League Rugby to appear in 50 matches.

Cole Keith (Free Jack #74) began playing Rugby for Belleisle Rovers Rugby club while in high school. He performed well and was pulled up to the Atlantic Rock provincial team that competed in the Men's Canadian Rugby Championship. In 2016 he moved to Victoria, British Columbia, where he joined the James Bay Athletic Association in the BC Premier League and also participated in Rugby Canada's centralized program.

In 2016 he represented Canada with the Canada U20s at the Junior World Trophy. In 2017 he earned his first cap for Canada (Canada #438) against Chile on February 11, 2017. Later in 2017, he also appeared for Canada 'A' in the America's Pacific Challenge. He currently has 25 caps for Canada and appeared at the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

In MLR, Keith played 46 matches for the Toronto Arrows (Arrow #4) before joining the New England Free Jacks. Following the 2022 season, he was named to the All-MLR 2nd Team.

To date, in his MLR career, he has scored 3 tries, made 208 ball carries, has 1,153 meters run, made 365 tackles, 673 ruck arrivals.

Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first thirty-seven players to accomplish 50 caps for MLR includes Mike Sheppard of the Toronto Arrows, Will Leonard of Rugby ATL, and Franco Van den Berg of the Utah Warriors.
