Each time a Chiefs goaltender stops a puck this season it will help Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel raise funds for Camp STIX. Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel has pledged to donate $1 to Camp STIX this season through the Coeur d'Alene Casino Saves Program.

"We are proud to donate the funds raised through the Coeur d'Alene Casino Saves Program to Camp STIX", announced Dave LaSarte-Meeks CEO of the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel. "With the high incidence of diabetes within the Native American community and the children living in the surrounding communities, we are pleased to be a part of making it possible for children with diabetes to enjoy going to camp", shares LaSarte-Meeks.

Camp STIX is an independent, community-based, summer camp located in Northeastern Washington for children and teens with diabetes throughout the Northwest. The camp is held at Bear Paw Camp and Retreat Center on the Pend Oreille River near Newport, Washington. Camp STIX offers a one-week program for youth ages 8-18.

"I'm happy that Coeur d'Alene Casino chose the Chiefs to help raise money and awareness for Camp STIX," Chiefs 20-year-old goaltender James Reid said.

"Hopefully I can do my part and help them with a big donation. It will definitely be something else to play for," Reid said.

Throughout the season fans can keep track of the donation amount by tuning into each Chiefs radio broadcast with Mike Boyle on 1510 KGA or at all home games in the Spokane Arena.
