Stockton Kings News Release

Recently, the G-League announced that 40 of the NBA G-Leagues top prospects, along with 40 NBA Draft hopefuls will participate in the 2019 G-League Elite Camp on May 12-14.

Among these top prospects sits two standouts from Stockton's season, Cody Demps and Matt Jones.

The three-day event will give prospects an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NBA and NBA G-League scouts, coaches and front-office executives.

For the pair of Kings players, while they know nothing is guaranteed, the opportunity is there for the taking.

"My expectation is to push myself to the limit, and put forth my best effort," said Jones. "My hopes are that I play so well a team sees me, and feel I can help their ball club and that equates to a contract."

Cody Demps added, "I'm hoping to go out there, show the same energy and hustle I've been giving this whole past season and show them I'm still expanding my skills.

"Hopefully, make a good enough impression to have a prominent role on a Summer League team and then see where it goes from there."

This season, Jones averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest. Demps followed up with 11.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

Be on the lookout about updates about these two on Stockton Kings social channels as well as the official G-League social channels.
