Coaches Show Week 3 Re-cap; Change Made to Week 4

The Coaches Show, "In the Boiler Room," continued its roll through the Quad City area, this time making the stop at Old Chicago in Bettendorf, Iowa.
"Voice of the Deuce" and host Jim Albracht had a host of players and staff on the one hour show. Ticketing Director Brian Forth started off with Albracht discussing the upcoming specials at the Quad City Steamwheelers June 7th game vs. the Cincinnati Swarm. They also talked about Forth's football past and life in the Steamwheelers front office.
Next up was the main man, head coach Rich Ingold, who talked about last weekends game against the Louisville Fire, whom the âWheelers defeated by a final score of 42-31. The two also discussed the lack of penalties that the âWheelers have received this season and how it shows off the teams discipline on the field.
Albracht then brought on FB/LB Josh Fourdyce, a man who has came up big as of late. Fourdyce made a goal line tackle as time expired back on May 10th to secure a Steamwheelers 62-56 victory over the Wichita Stealth. Last week vs. the Fire, Fourdyce had seven tackles; a fumble recovery and a sack on the games last play to take home the "Sack Pool." Both of these performances earned him ADT Defensive Player of the Game honors.
The "Sack Pool" was established by the âWheeler lineman and linebackers, each throwing in $5 of their own money. The first player to record an official sack won the pool, if there were no sacks recorded, everyone would throw in another $5. The pool reached a total of $90 when Fourdyce snagged it up on the last play of the game.
Albracht joked around with Fourdyce about who officially received credit for winning the pool as earlier in the game OL/DL Cory Bern thought he came away with a sack and safety, but was ruled otherwise.
"In the locker room after the game, Bern and I were arguing over who really should have won the pool, but I walked away with the money, so I guess that settles that," Fourdyce said.
Then Albracht brought on Equipment Manager and Football Administrator Phil Hayek, much to the surprise of Hayek. Hayek, who is the glue to the football operations part of the office, talked about all of the behind scenes work that he does and his intensity in games.
"I think that comes from my head coach, that guy is pretty intense," Hayek said of working under Ingold for two years now.
To finish the show up, Managing Owner/Operator and Arena Football Inventor Jim Foster talked about the upcoming Season Ticket Holders Party, which will be held at the Isle of Capri Casino Grand Ballroom this upcoming Monday, June 2nd from 6-8:30 p.m. The entire team, coaching staff and front office staff will be on hand for the evening's events.
This event has resulted in a change for the next week's edition of "In the Boiler Room." Originally planned for the Captain's Table in Moline, Ill., the show will now be aired live from the Season Ticket Holders Party, were fans can see it live. The date has yet to be determined for the show that will air at the Captain's Table.
It has been determined where the June 9th edition of "In the Boiler Room" will take place. Jimmy B'z in Davenport, Iowa, will be the site and fans are encouraged to come "See it Live" and meet the players (who will be on the show) and coach, all while enjoying the great food and drinks that Jimmy B'z offers.
