Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights News Release
Hard to believe we are already into the month of February!
This is a very interesting time of the season for all teams at this high level of hockey. Many teams are dealing with injuries and illnesses as well as trying to solidify their roster. Teams are looking to start to gain some momentum as the final push of the season is about to begin.
The Knights are no diffferent. Missing some veteran players we were able to have a pretty successful weekend winning two out of three games to a very strong first place team, division rivals Aston Rebels. Our team had an unfortunate outing on Saturday night and fell victim to one of those strange games where we did not play well and Aston did. The result was an embarrassing 10-2 loss.
The encouraging part was the way our guys responded the next day and managed a solid 5-3 road win.
This week it remains tough as we travel to New Jersey to face the Titans on Thursday night. Friday we host Johnstown at home and then are back on the road to face the Aston Rebels once again. All three division games are very important for the race in the East.
We hope you can join us Friday night for the battle against a hard charging Johnstown Tomahawk team.
Roll Knights!
