GERMANTOWN, Tenn. -- The "Sticks are for Kids" program is in full swing for the summer as RiverKings coach Derek Landmesser attended Christian Kids KinderCare on Tuesday, June 5th for a morning on the playground.
"I was extremely excited to work with these children and they seemed to be having a great time learning and playing the game of hockey," Coach Derek Landmesser said.
Along with Coach Landmesser demonstrating various ways to shoot the puck and explaining some of the rules of the game, the kids took to the court for a scrimmage where they practiced their newly learned skills.
