
Coach Buff Signs on Local Talent Snay and Faulkner as Assistant Coaches

Worcester, MA. ...The New England Surge of the Continental Indoor Football League, (CIFL), welcomes its newest additions to the team and organization. Roy Lucas, Jr., Founder & President announces that Christina Andrianopoulos of The Omega Group, Worcester, MA has joined the New England Surge to oversee all the Public & Community Relations for the organization. Andrianopoulos holds an MBA in Marketing and has over15 years of senior level marketing and public relations experience derived from her corporate positions as executive management when she resided in Manhattan. Returning to her native city Worcester three years ago, Andrianopoulos has operated The Omega Group, offering a portfolio of Strategic Marketing and Public Relations services to a wide array of clients in New England. She also enthusiastically offers her marketing services pro bono to the City of Worcester, her Greek Community at Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, volunteering for many not for profit causes and events, as well as serves on several Board of Directors. Recently she and her co-host Allan Eisenberg launched a weekly radio program, "Dining Out MetroWest", a lifestyle program revolving around the social aspects of dining out, and urban living. Andrianopoulos will offer highlights of the New England Surge on her program every Saturday from 8-9AM on True Talk, WCRN AM830, also the broadcasting home of the Surge.
Coach Rick Buffington, "Coach Buff" is pleased to announce two local experienced and talented coaches as assistants to his staff. Jerry Snay is in charge of coaching both the offensive and defensive lines, and Dennis Faulkner oversees player personnel.
Snay is the current Head Football Coach of the South High Colonels in Worcester posting an undefeated 12-0 season capped off with a Super Bowl Championship. Snay started his football career at Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury, Ma and played collegiately as an offensive lineman at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to becoming a high school Head Coach in 2002, Snay spent three years as the offensive line coach for the Worcester State Lancers, winning titles such as NEFC Co-Champions, runner up for the ECAC title, and 2001 ECAC Champions. In addition, throughout his career as an offensive lineman for the Marlboro Shamrocks, he was instrumental in bringing his teams to AFA and USFA National Championships, winning 9 National Championships. He also played numerous All Star games including Team USA National All-Stars in Orlando, FL, and FASCO (Free Agent Scouting Combines) All-Star Game, and the NMFL North/South All-Star Game. Prior to joining the coaching staff of Worcester State Lancers, Snay served as the offensive and defensive line coach at Millbury High School. One of Snay's proudest accomplishments is coaching his son in the Shrewsbury Pop Warner Pee Wee and Jr. Midgets levels.
Faulkner is a graduate of the University of New Haven, CT, earning a degree in Clinical and Community Psychology. He is the President of the Worcester County Wildcats, a Minor League football team in Worcester. Faulkner also serves on the Board of Directors of the Competition Committee of the New England Football League. He also has 16 years of football experience between playing and coaching and has been involved in the football community with great interest in the personal, social and professional development of athletes of all ages. A resident of Worcester, Faulkner is pleased to be a part of Worcester's newest athletic team, the New England Surge Indoor Football League.
Coach Buff states, "I am very pleased to have these local top notch coaches as my assistants. Jerry Snay's proven winning record plus his vast 20 years of experience brings a great deal of wealth to the Surge." Buffington continues, "Dennis Faulkner also brings a great deal of organizational expertise and personnel skills to the team."
