Worcester, MA. The New England Surge of the Continental Indoor Football League, (CIFL), won their seventh game against the New Jersey Revolution on Saturday, May 17 at their home arena, the DCU Center in front of 2,259 excited fans. New Jersey standings are 2¡X7.
The New England Surge clinched a championship playoff position in the CIFL Atlantic Division, along with the Rochester Raiders 9¡X0, and the Saginaw, Michigan Sting 7¡X2. The Surge has a rematch with New Jersey on Saturday, May 24 in New Jersey, and then returns home on Saturday, May 31 to face the Rochester Raiders.

The top four teams in each division play in the play offs as follows:
