Surge Ready for Kick Off of their Second Season Friday

Worcester, MA. ... The New England Surge of the Continental Indoor Football League, (CIFL), announce with great pleasure that they will be kicking off their first season opener playing the Flint Phantoms at the Perani Arena in Flint, Michigan, Friday March 28, 2008. The game can be heard live on 100.1 The Pike at 7:30p.m.

Roy Lucas, Jr. Owner and Head Coach stated, "After many weeks of practice the team and I are excited and ready to play football and look forward to taking on our opponent the Phantoms in Michigan." Phantoms record is 0-2 after losing to the Saginaw Stings and Kalamazoo Xplosion. This is New England's first game of their second season. The game can be heard on 100.1 The Pike with play-by-play reporting by Paul Healy and Chris Ingle of the Pike.

As the 2008 season starts moving at full speed ahead look for The New England Surge promotions, appearance schedules, media appearances on radio and tv, and more, popping up all over Worcester County, MetroWest and Central Massachusetts.
