[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] When the Daytona Cubs (18-9) and Clearwater Threshers (16-12) face off this week at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, the four game series will have to wait for a game to finish that started last week. The July 21 game that was postponed in the bottom of the third inning will start up right where it was paused this Wednesday, July 26 at 6:05 p.m.

Clearwater will be the home team for the first game that will last for only seven innings. The Threshers will come to bat with two outs in the bottom of the third inning with a man on second and a 4-2 lead. The game on Wednesday will then be followed by the first of four games between the Cubs and Threshers. The second game will last only seven innings and will begin about 30 minutes after the postponed game is finished.

The July 21 game was originally scheduled to go only seven innings as part of a doubleheader therefore it will be a seven inning affair. Had it not been part of the doubleheader the game would have had to be played in full through nine innings.

Gates will open at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. For ticket information, please call (386) 257-3172. One ticket is all fans need to get in for the entire evening of play.
