Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that Clear Channel Radio will once again be the Amerks radio broadcast partner for the 2012-13 season, keeping Sports 1280 WHTK as the flagship station for Rochester Americans hockey.
Hall of Fame play-by-play broadcaster Don Stevens will be behind the microphone for his 27th season as the Voice of the Amerks while former Sabre Ric Seiling will return as color analyst.
This year's broadcasts will feature an expanded pregame show, while Craig Schaller will again host the pregame, intermission and "Penalty Box" postgame shows. Reporter Rob Sanderson will contribute to the broadcasts with interviews and live updates and analysis from The Blue Cross Arena during home games. Fans will have the chance to offer their perspective on games by calling into the Penalty Box postgame show. Amerks players, coaches and management personnel will continue to make interview appearances on Clear Channel programming throughout the season. The Amerks and Clear Channel have been partners since 1997.
Clear Channel will air 71 of Rochester's 76 games this season, with the only exceptions being the games on Nov. 14 (at Hamilton, 10 a.m.), Jan. 21 (vs. Hamilton, 1:05 p.m.), Feb. 5 (at Abbotsford, 1:30 p.m.), Feb. 12 (at Lake Erie, 10:45 a.m.) and Feb. 18 (at Hamilton, 3 p.m.). Broadcast information for those games will be announced at a later date.
Full-Season, Half-Season and 12-Game ticket packages, along with individual game tickets, for the 2012-13 season are now on sale. The regular season begins Friday, Oct. 12 when the Amerks host the Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:05 p.m. For more information, visit www.amerks.com or call 1-855-GO-AMERKS.
