New England Black Wolves News Release
UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The Canadian Lacrosse Association has announced that Black Wolves head coach Glenn Clark has been named the head coach of the 2019 Canadian Men's Box Lacrosse Team that will compete at the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in British Colombia in September.
Clark, who won a gold medal at the World Indoor Championships as a player in 2003 and again as an assistant coach in 2011 and 2015, will be joined by team coordinator Sean Ferris on general manager Eddie Comeau's staff for the event.
"I'm extremely honored to be selected to represent Canada at the World Championships," Clark said. "I'm proud to have the opportunity to once again work with Eddie and Sean with the national program. This will be our third time working together. Their professionalism and commitment to the sport is what makes the Canadian program so successful."
The 2016 NLL Coach of the Year, Clark is in his fourth season on the bench for New England. Also the head coach of the Toronto Beaches in the Ontario Junior A league, Clark brings a wealth of experience to the role with the Canadian Men's Box Lacrosse Team.
"It's a lucky day for the Canadians," Black Wolves general manager Rich Lisk said. "I am not at all surprised that Glenn was chosen to lead the Canadian Indoor National Team. He is by far the most qualified, most prepared and most talented coach in the game. We continue to be lucky and proud that he's a Black Wolf."
The Black Wolves will be in action next on Sunday, March 3 against the Colorado Mammoth at Mohegan Sun Arena. Game time is set for 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by visiting blackwolves.com or calling 844-LAX-WOLF.
