Clark Cup Championship Celebration Monday Night

DUBUQUE, Iowa-The Dubuque Fighting Saints finished off a historic season Friday night in Fargo, North Dakota, claiming the Clark Cup as the USHL's post-season champion in a 3-0 series sweep over the Fargo Force in the Clark Cup Final. With the hard work done and the team returning to Dubuque, the celebration is on. The Fighting Saints are hosting a Clark Cup Championship Celebration Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the Mystique Community Ice Center. All fans are encouraged to attend this free event that will feature the entire Fighting Saints team and staff in attendance, and a full production that includes music, a lightshow, introductions, comments from the coaches and players, as well as a special live performance of the Fighting Saints Rap song by Casey Olinger.

With the team winning the Clark Cup on the road, it is only fitting Fighting Saints fans get to return to the Mystique Community Ice Center one more time to celebrate a season in which Dubuque earned a franchise record number of wins, captured the Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup, earned the Anderson Cup for the first time in 30 years, and claimed the Clark Cup for the second time in three seasons. The doors will open for the celebration at 6:00 p.m. and the festivities will start shortly after 6:30 p.m.

The evening will feature an on ice ceremony with a full lightshow, and an audio montage of the 2012-2013 season and the Clark Cup Final. Team President Dan Lehv will speak about the team's success on and off the ice, and Head Coach and General Manager Jim Montgomery will address the fans. The Clark Cup and Anderson Cup will be brought to the ice by the Fighting Saints team captains and put on display for all fans to see.

The celebration will conclude with a special live performance by Casey Olinger. The local rapper who goes by CasetheJoint, recently wrote a rap song for the Fighting Saints playoff run titled "Who Cares! (Moves Like Janssen)" that has become a favorite of not only the fans, but the players and coaching staff as well.

During the evening, championship t-shirts and Fighting Saints apparel will be on sale at the merchandise stand. The concession stand will also be open during the celebration to allow fans to enjoy food and drink during the event. Information on signing up for season tickets for the 2013-2014 season will also be available. Following the celebration, Fighting Saints players will be available to sign autographs for fans in the Kids Zone.
