City Council recognizes Brahmas

Fort WorthâThe Ft. Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League are excited to announce that today, Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, has been declared Ft. Worth Brahmas Day by the Ft. Worth City Council at their weekly meeting this morning at Ft. Worth City Hall.
Brahmas General Manager Mike Barack, Assistant General Manager Dave McLain, and Head Coach Todd Lalonde were on hand for the proclamation this morning that was read at City Hall. All of the Brahmas players and staff were also present for the ceremony.
Barack is thrilled with today's honor from the city leaders.
"This is an honor for the Brahmas franchise, a tribute for the effort and energy that our players, staff and ownership have expended to give the City of Ft. Worth a professional hockey franchise that they can be proud of. The hockey history in this town is rich and extensive, and we are extremely excited to be a part of that history," said Barack.
Although their record is currently 5-9-2, the Brahmas are starting to play well. Ft. Worth is unbeaten in regulation in their last three games and they have picked up four of a possible six points in those contests. The Brahmas will be busy during this holiday week, as they travel to Bossier City, Louisiana on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28) for a 7:05 p.m. matchup against the Mudbugs. On Friday night (Nov. 29), Ft. Worth will play in Tulsa at 7:35 p.m. Then on Saturday, Nov. 30, the Brahmas will travel to Memphis, Tennessee for a 7:05 matchup against the Northeast Division leading Memphis RiverKings. All three games will be broadcast live on KTFW 92.1 FM.
The Brahmas next home game will be on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at the Ft. Worth Convention Center against the Corpus Christi IceRays. Prior to the 7:05 p.m. game, the Brahmas will recognize the City of Ft. Worth for today's proclamation and their continued support of the franchise.
